Do you have the skill to fill the boots of the Gunslinger?

Welcome back to our closer look at each of Heroes of Ruin’s playable character’s skill trees, showing you how every additional experience point you invest in each skill improves that ability as well as the XP you’ll need to unlock a new level for each skill.

This week, we’re shining a light on the cunning Gunslinger. A former criminal turned wandering nomad, the Gunslinger’s every action is plagued by the massive monetary debt he must repay. He seeks riches and takes on the mission to save the Lord Ataraxis hoping to find a way to repay his debt.

The Gunslinger excels at ranged combat. He has ways to ensure range is kept, and ways to regain it when lost. He is fast, accurate and deadly, using a wide array of ranged weapons. He excels at the use of all firearms but also brings to bear explosive incendiaries and ricocheting throwing knives to bring down his foes.

Another specialty of the Gunslinger is to reduce the effectiveness of the enemies he targets with his deadly arsenal, using wily tricks in conjunction with focused gunfire to deal death from afar. Hailstorms of bullets, home-made explosives, and well-placed shots go a long way towards weakening and taking the fight out of his opponents.

How will you choose to level-up your devious mercenary and what effect does each skill point have? Read on to find out.

Come back next week when we’ll be lifting the lid on everyone’s favourite spell caster, the eerie Alchitect!

My main character.

bullet swarms good

This game really does have potential, and I feel it deserves a sequel.

... the gunslinger wouldd be the middle class for the game
not too strong
not too weak
not too fast
not too complex
you get what im saying?
but my gs is lvl 28
traveling bounty hunter/ salesman SHADE
but i do wish there were more skills

Commando seems to have some of the best skills.

Commando Skill Tree FTW!

Best Friend game in the world

awesome. i hope to get the game soon.

The Gunsligner is REALLY useful, it saved my ass many times against the shadow reaper, wich allways kill someone in one hit, ans also really useful against the final boss. Ranged in this game is rlly FTW!

Bolas have saved my butt more than once, good utility ability!

Armor Piercing Ammo, Shrapnel and Bulletswarm.

Here's my usual set-up:

Bullet Swarm
Crowd Stopper

somtimes when I'm playing friends I replace Crowd Stopper with one of my maxed out buffs so I can help them out by sharing the effects of said maxed out buffs

blaze wave for rapid damage
explosive retreat great to stun
crowd stopper speeds increase comes in handy

shrapnel good for crowds
sharpshooter critical, damage and speed cant beat that
battle hardened defence is a must

sounds cool

bulletswarm sounds fun lol

Explosive Retreat is definitely my favorite skill of the gunslinger but the other are nice too :) .

Site isn't updating much lately, speaking of Gunslinger (using him a bit lately on dailies and weeklies.).
On the issue itself: Bolas, Rupture Blade, Shrapnel, Escape Artist, Explosive Retreat, Sharpshooter, and Battle Hardened.

More skills? Need more levels for the ones we have now.

My next nefarious creation, right after my beloved magick-user, ha, ha, ha!!!

I just wish there was more skills...more varity.

and my gunslinger is Grein.
ya I know so original....(-:

I don't feel that Rupture Blade is an effective attack, but I do like the animated blood flying in every direction.
BTW, I went with the name "Django" for my Gunslinger ;)
